Cats knocked the terra cotta sculpture off a table and the shattered figures, already badly mended in the past, had to be put back together, first removing crusty, inappropriate adhesives with dental tools and then re-gluing the pieces together, restoring the finish so that none of the breaks showed. The feet of the boxers were built up with epoxy to make the sculpture better- balanced and prevent future mishaps.
